Maxim was—at the time—one of the biggest selling magazines in the world. Upwards of 2 million copies sold each month generating 50 million in revenue a year. The pressure to maintain and exceed that level of excellence was a constant challenge. It was there that I gained extensive experience in the art direction of A-list celebrity photo shoots and cover design, the single most important selling feature to any publication. The design work that I produced featured unique photography, illustration and typography to communicate editorial content.
